开学典礼致辞

亲爱的孩子们、老师们、家长们：大家早上好！

Dear children, teachers and parents,  Good morning everyone!

今天我们隆重集会，举行2020—2021新学年的开学典礼。本学期又有93名新同学和36位新老师加入到我们的大家庭，首先，让我们用热烈的掌声对他们表示欢迎！同时，让我们共同欢呼，祝贺中学部顺利开学！

We gather here for the 2020-2021 school year opening ceremony. This year, we have 93 new students and 36 new teachers to join our big family. Let’s give them a round of applause to welcome them! Meanwhile, let’s also cheer for the establishment of our secondary school!

此刻，我们的相聚是如此隆重，又是如此开心！美丽、温暖的校园因为孩子们的返校，充满了欢乐的气息，焕发出崭新的力量！

We are extremely happy to gather here for this grand occasion. The beautiful campus is full of joy and energy because of our children’s return.

孩子们，在这里，让我们对新认识的同学大声说：“你好，认识你真好！”同时，也让我们对如期归来的伙伴们大声说：“你好，我想你啦！”让我们对久违的校园大声说：赫德，我们回家啦！

Children let’s welcome our new students, and say “I miss you” to each other and “HD, we are home!” to our school.

走进赫德，是因为我们心怀同样的向往与热爱。为了这一刻，赫德的老师们早已开始忙碌，利用假期抓紧充电提升，只为孩子们的生命蓬勃！让我们也同样把掌声送给每一位无私敬业的赫德老师们！

Because of the same passion and expectations for the year, we are all together again. Our teachers have started busily preparing for the year ahead by undertaking training and professional development in the summer to ensure that your children’s education is exemplary. Let’s acknowledge our teachers’ hard work!

过去一年，我们交到了一些新朋友、养成了一些好习惯、积累了许多知识……这些收获都让每个人都不断变成更好的自己。新的学年，我们有着满满的希望和祝福——

希望每一位同学热爱读书，与书为友。去汲取博大精深的中西方文化营养，成为学贯中西、博古通今的大家；

In the past year, we made some new friends, developed some good habits and developed our knowledge which enabled us to become better versions of ourselves. At the beginning of this new school year, we hope every single student learns to love learning. Meanwhile, we hope our students absorb the very best of Chinese and western culture to become globalized citizens who are informed about the world and can adapt to both Chinese and western learning;

希望每一位同学心怀梦想，为之努力。去经历丰富的挑战，去品尝失败的苦涩，去体会成功的喜悦；

We hope every student strives for their dreams by taking on challenges, experiencing the difficulty of learning something new and, of course, the joy.

祝福每一位同学健康阳光。在新的学年里长得更高、变得更强。

I wish every student good health. We hope you become stronger over the year.

新的学期就如同那艘满载着我们期许的赫德号轮船，祝福大家“长风破浪会有时，直挂云帆济沧海”，让我们与爱相伴、勇敢出征！

The new school year is just like a train ready to leave the station, let’s get on board with love and courage. No matter what difficulties we shall meet, let’s face them together and take on the challenge with confidence together!
